Caitlin Francke is an award-winning social media expert who has helped Fortune 500 companies chart their course in the space for the past decade. She is excited to have recently joined Citi, where she will oversee the Global Social Media and Content practice. Prior to coming to Citi, she spent two years building and growing the social practice at GroupM’s media agencies — Mindshare, MediaCom, MEC and Maxus. She came to GroupM from Publicis’s flagship creative agency, Publicis North America, where she founded the social media department nearly seven years ago and turned it into a best-in-class capability, garnering several awards, including an Effie and gold and silver ADDYs.
She started her career as a journalist at The Baltimore Sun and the Philadelphia Inquirer, where she was nominated twice for Pulitzer Prizes. She sees social media as a natural fusion of her journalist background and the new data-rich, always-on digital world.
